Australia have thrashed their West Indian opponents on day three of the first Test at the Gabba in Brisbane. Following-on the West Indies were bundled out for a meagre 187, losing by an innings and 65 runs.Without the injured Ramnaresh Sarwan, batting remains the weak link for the Windies. It was only Travis Dowlin and Dinesh Ramdin that got above fifty in the first innings and a perfectly crafted debut hundred from 19 year old Adrian Barath at the top of the order was the highlight for the tourists in their second innings. Quality bowling from Man of the Match Ben Hilfenhaus, Shane Watson and Nathan Hauritz did for the Windies. So all eyes on Adelaide next Friday. The West Indies will be praying Sarwan can make a return while question marks remain over Jerome Taylor's fitness. The Australians meanwhile will be working on converting starts can into hundreds after 7 batsmen got above fifty but couldn't go on.
